While in the canoe I spotted an unusual thing in the water, at the time I couldn't really make it out. When editing the video I slowed it down and zoomed in on the creature, to my amazement it was clearly a Northern Pike. I've seen them swirl on the surface and jump out of the water when hooked but nothing like this wacky Michael Phelps schtick.
