My Johnson has been idle for a couple years so I fired her up the other day to make sure she's ready for some blasts on the river. This morning I noticed she's leaking some black sludge from the lower unit. I'm gonna get the ol' rosary out and pray my Johnson heals thyself. I've got a lot of tools but replacing the seals on the lower unit takes stuff that I don't have in my box.

my johnson leaks too,but it cleared up when I took the liquid out. I hope this is helpful to you.
