Shiv Making 101

Last year I took the Poulan and cut down a dymondwood tree in the back forty. I used a chunk of it to make the scales(handle) for my first knife. After finding a glob of meteorite on a hike up north I decided to smelt it into some high carbon steel. Then I fired up the Norge and forged the steel into a rough filet blade. After some grinding she was ready for assembly. With some sanding and finishing she'll be ready for some juicey walleyes this fall.
