The living room looks like Cabela's blew up with all my camping junk strewn all over the place. Each year I vow to "go lighter" but there are certain things I just gots to have. I'm the camp historian so I have to bring the digital camera and camcorder. I'm gonna do more video in the canoe so I'm bringing a small tripod which I'll bungee to the canoe for some spectacular shots. Also, a chair with a back is a must for those long hours under the tarp when it rains. The time of year dictates warm clothes which adds bulk but not too much weight. Ten days in the wilderness means mucho food in the "bear resistant" barrel, can't wait to eat them flap jacks. Well it looks like I'll get out of here sometime this weekend. Poor Nancy has to put up with this insanity, she really looks forward to when I finally leave so she can have the house to herself for a change. Pack it in and pack it out.

it's a sad fact that some rooms of my house look like this as well, and i have little excuse. this is why i'll be cleaning this morning.
